WAUWATOSA, Wis. – The Alverno basketball team traveled to nearby Wisconsin Lutheran on Tuesday evening, taking on the Warriors at the Recreation Complex, and falling to its host by a score of 79-16.

Alverno was led by junior
Angie Reutgen with seven points, and five rebounds, while freshman
Lauryn Hilliard scored four points off the bench and led the team with seven rebounds. Sophomore
Kiara Ellison tallied three points, and had two rebounds, while senior
Dom Hudson rounded out the scoring with two points to go along with a pair of rebounds and a steal.

Courtney Zarda had one steal and two rebounds, while freshman
Jewel Zahradka added four rebounds off the bench. Freshman
Morgan Golabowski had the team's lone assist on the night to go along with five rebounds and one steal, while fellow freshman
Olivia Daugherty made her collegiate debut and had one rebound and one steal.

The Warriors led 20-5 after the opening period and did not turn back, pulling ahead by a 40-9 score at halftime. After three quarters the score was 62-13, before the final score of 79-16 as the Inferno fell to the nationally ranked Wisconsin Lutheran squad.

Alverno (1-19, 0-13 NACC) plays its final road game of the regular season on Saturday, February 15 at the Seaver Physical Education Center in Rockford, Illinois against the Rockford Regents with tipoff slated for 2 p.m.
