Soccer Season Comes to a Close in Matchup at St. Norbert

DE PERE, Wis. – The Alverno soccer season came to a close on Wednesday evening, as the Inferno paid a visit to St. Norbert for the first time in program history, falling to the Green Knights by a score of 9-0.
 
The game marked the final collegiate appearance for Alverno's five seniors, who were celebrated in Saturday's home finale against Marian. Seniors Alo Cervantes, Ashley Flores, Ziri Hernandez-Bustos, Faith Josko, and Katie Shipley made their final road trip with the Inferno on the day to cap off their careers.
 
Alverno attempted two shots on the match, with Cervantes collected one, while freshman Emily Anguiano recorded the lone Inferno shot on goal.
 
Freshman Dominique Tetrault made eight saves in her second appearance in goal for the Inferno, making five of her eight saves in the first 45 minutes.
 
St. Norbert opened the scoring in the fourth minute and added five more goals in the opening half, before capping off the scoring with three more goals in the final 45 minutes.
