Soccer Downed by Dominican in Final Trip to Illinois for 2021

RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Alverno soccer team traveled to West Campus Field on Wednesday to take on the host Dominican Stars, and fell to their hosts by a 14-0 score.

All of the Inferno starting 11 played the entirety of the contest, while junior Kenzie Bermudez made another 19 saves to bring her season total to 151. Her 151 saves on the season already places her ninth on the single-season saves list. She also has stopped 427 saves in her career as she continues her climb towards the top two positions on the all-time saves list.

Dominican controlled much of the play throughout the contest, scoring eight first-half goals before adding another six point in the second half.

Alverno (2-7-1, 0-11-0 NACC) will be back on the road this Saturday, as the Inferno will travel to Smith Field in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to take on the Marian Sabres.
