Alverno was led by its pair of freshmen as rookies Keeshya Bellows and Eniya Madden each had 14 points apiece on the afternoon. Bellows was 7-for-13 from the field while Madden was 6-of-18, with Madden also adding a pair from the charity stripe.

Junior Alicia Hornbuckle was third on the team in scoring with five points, while senior Sara Redlin had four points including a first-half three-pointer. Juniors Dom Hudson and Mikayla Tessay each had two points on the game as well.

In addition to leading the team in scoring, both Bellows and Madden led the squad with six rebounds apiece, while Hudson and sophomore Brittney Hondel each had four caroms. Redlin and Tessay each had three boards on the game. Hudson led Alverno with three assists, while Madden had six of seven steals as Bellows added the seventh.

The first half was controlled by the home team as Wisconsin Lutheran flexed its muscle by holding Alverno to just 13 points while taking a 35-13 lead into the halftime break.

In the second half the Inferno were able to get their offense moving again as the Inferno connected on three-straight layups with a pair from Madden and one from Bellows to cut the lead in half at 42-21 with 6:50 to go in the third quarter. Play progressed to the fourth quarter with the Warriors leading by a 55-31 advantage.

After 100 seconds of scoreless play to open the fourth period, Wisconsin Lutheran opened the scoring in the fourth with a layup at 8:19 to go in regulation. Alverno scored six of the game's next eight points as Hornbuckle converted on a jumper followed by a pair of free throws by Hudson and a layup by Bellows.

Alverno trailed 59-37 following the Bellows layup with 4:04 left in the game before Alverno closed out the contest on a brief 4-2 spurt on a Bellows jumper and Madden layup to cap off the scoring at 61-41.
