PLYMOUTH, Wisconsin -- Host Lakeland University defeated Alverno College, 3-0, in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference action Saturday night inside Woltzen Gymnasium.

The Muskies (9-9, 2-1 NACC) nearly tripled the Inferno (3-18, 1-4) attack with a 36-14 advantage in kills.

Jessica Wewers registered half of Alverno's kills with seven on 19 attempts. Sam Korn had 12 assists and tied Danielle Schilawski for team-high honors with eight digs apiece.

The Inferno takes a break from league play Tuesday for a nonconference tilt at Maranatha Baptist University.
