Dominique Hudson '25/'22 was named the Assistant Director of Athletics in July 2026 of Alverno College Athletics and enters her third year as the Senior Woman Administrator in the 2026-27 academic year.
Hudson serves as the department's Assistant Director of Athletics, Senior Woman Administrator, and Head Cross Country Coach. As part of her administrative duties, Hudson will serve in a key leadership capacity alongside the Director of Athletics, helping oversee the day-to-day operations of the department while supporting the continued growth of Alverno Athletics. She will coordinate transportation for all team practices, competitions, and athletically related travel, collaborate with coaches to ensure efficient departmental operations, oversee all Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC) meetings and initiatives, coordinate departmental fundraising efforts, and serve as the department's strength and conditioning coordinator for all athletic programs throughout the year.
Hudson took over the Cross Country program in the fall of 2024 after serving as a graduate assistant coach for basketball and cross country. The former Alverno standout was a four-sport athlete during her three seasons participating in basketball, cross country, golf, and softball.
2025 Season
In her second season as the head coach of the cross country program, Hudson led the Inferno to an 11th-place finish at the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference Championships. Throughout the season, Hudson saw improvement from nearly every runner, with four runners posting their career best marks in one of the last two races.
2024 Season
In her first season at the helm of the cross country program, Hudson led the Inferno to an 11th-place finish at the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference Championships. In the team's final race of the season, they defeated Mount Mary in the Women's College Classic, hosted on the Alverno College campus.
