Corey Thompson is entering his first season as the head coach of the Alverno College soccer program.
Thompson was chosen as the head coach after a national search. He most recently served as assistant women’s coach/Director of Milwaukee County Initiative at Bryant & Straten College during 2021-2022. Corey has spent multiple years serving as the Girl’s and Boy’s Varsity Co-Coach at Ronald Reagan High School. Dr. Thompson also has an extensive career in education. He most recently served as an Associate professor in the College of Education & Leadership at Cardinal Stritch University. Corey has also served as principal at Milwaukee Academy of Science and Dean School. Thompson was also a sixth-grade teacher at Cherokee Heights Middle School.
Corey earned his bachelor's degree in Elementary education from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He also holds a master’s degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and a Doctorate in Leadership for the Advancement of Learning and Service from Cardinal Stritch University.
