Nancy Rockwell (nee Osborne) enters her fifth season as the head coach of the Inferno basketball team in 2022-23, following a three-year stint as an assistant coach with the program.
In her fourth year leading the program, Rockwell led a young program in a return to a near-full schedule with 23 contests including a postseason appearance late in the year against third-seeded Benedictine. The team also competed in the St. Pete Classic in Florida, competing against Lake Forest and Berry during the month of December.
During the COVID-19 shortened 2020-21 season, Rockwell's Inferno squad played just 10 games, which included a midseason stoppage as the team's momentum was short-circuited heading into the latter stages of the season. During year one at the helm of the team, Rockwell guided the team to six victories including six wins in conference play. Following the season, Rockwell saw senior Mackenzie Mathies earn Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference All-Conference accolades for her efforts during the regular season.
Prior to taking over as head coach, Rockwell was a member of the coaching staff as an assistant from 2015-18, while also serving as an assistant coach with the cross country team in the fall of 2016 and 2017. As an assistant with the basketball team, she helped the program to 32 victories as well as a trip to the NACC Semifinals in 2016-17. Throughout her three seasons as an assistant, the team also had four player earn All-League honors, including a pair following the 2015-16 campaign.

During her four seasons with the team, Rockwell played in 83 career games including a career-high 26 as a senior. She amassed 377 points in her four seasons including 74 three-pointers of her 110 career field goals made. She was a superb free-throw shooter connecting on 83 of her 101 career attempts, while also recording 114 rebounds, 27 steals, and five blocks in her four seasons with the Raiders.
Her Mount Union teams qualified for the OAC Tournament throughout her four-year stead with the Raiders, which included a conference title in 2012 as a freshman in a win over Ohio Northern. The team earned the OAC's bid to the NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Championship, which saw the Raiders knock off both La Roche and Muhlenberg, before dropping a third-round heartbreaker to Illinois Wesleyan.
Rockwell received her bachelor's degree in exercise science from Mount Union and later earned ehr master's degree from Alverno.
