Drew Dueck

Drew Dueck enters his first season as the Head Cross Country/Track and Field Coach. Before Alverno Drew was the Head Boys Track & Field Coach at Waukesha West High School for one season (2023) and spent 2.5 years as an Assistant Track and Field/ Cross Country Coach at Milwaukee School of Engineering on the Women’s Team (2020-2023). Notably, he helped coach MSOE’s first-ever woman to qualify for the NCAA D3 National Championships in 2022.


Education:
  • Graduated from UW-Milwaukee (2019) with a B.A. in Psychology and Kinesiology minor.
  • Graduated from Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville (2023) with a M.S. Kinesiology – Exercise and Sport Psychology.
    • Student-Delegate and research presented (Coaching Philosophy) at 2022 AASP Sport Psychology Conference in Fort Worth, Texas.
    • Graduated with a 4.0 GPA and presented Final Project on Leadership Styles & Theories related to Coaching.

  • Competed for Hartford Union High School (2011 – 2015) in Cross Country and Track & Field.
    • 9x State Qualifier, School Record Holder in the 4x800m Relay.
  • Competed for UW-Milwaukee (2015 – 2019) in Cross Country and Track & Field at the Division 1 level for the Panthers.
    • Named Team Captain for Cross Country and Track & Field twice (2018 & 2019).
    • Horizon League Outdoor 800m Champion (2019), Runner-Up Indoor 800m (2018) & Outdoor 4x400m Relay (2018)
    • School Record Holder in the Distance Medley Relay
 
Personal:
Born and raised in Hartford, WI. Likes to play (and watch) sports such as spikeball, volleyball, pickleball, basketball, and football, also like to read and workout in free time.
