Lauren Greif returns to the Alverno softball staff for her second season in the spring of 2023 as the graduate assistant coach.
Greif played four seasons for the Inferno from 2018-21, playing a multitude of positions while with the team. During her tenure on the Alverno softball team, Greif amassed 111 appearances on the field with 49 of those coming as a pitcher.
At the plate, Greif connected on 75 career hits, including eight doubles and six home runs, while driving in 37 runs. She scored 28 runs, and walked 23 times for a career on-base percentage of .344. Defensively she was credited with 55 putouts and 45 assists in her career.
In the circle, Greif tossed 116 innings for the Inferno including a career-high 52 as a sophomore in 2019. She struck out 36 batters and collected five wins while pitching six complete games in her 17 career starts.
A four-time Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Scholar Athlete, Greif graduated in May of 2021 with a degree in business management. She is currently enrolled in graduate school at Alverno.
Aside from her time in Milwaukee, Greif coached the Chicago Ravens travel softball organization, beginning her stead with the Ravens in 2019 at both the 16U and 18U levels.
