Erin Simmons

Erin Simmons joins the Alverno softball staff for her second season in the spring of 2022.

In her first season, Simmons was primarily responsible for working with the Alverno pitching staff helping lead the group of five pitchers hone their craft throughout the season. As a squad, the unit struck out 85 batters over 146 1/3 innings on the COVID-19-shortened season.

A former standout pitcher for the University of Mount Union, Simmons put together a 22-win career while tossing over 276 innings including a career-best 110 as a senior. She struck out 175 batters for a career 4.43 strikeouts per seven innings, while yielding just 175 career earned runs for a 4.43 career ERA. Her 12 wins as a senior in the spring of 2016 was a career, high as were her 13 complete games, finishing her career with 29 complete contests.
 
The Suffield, Ohio native currently works with the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association as a Sales Development Manager, a position she has held since November of 2019. She previously worked with the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA, and the Cleveland Monsters of the American Hockey League after graduating from Mount Union with a degree in Sport Business and a minor in Business Administration and Leadership.
