Milwaukee, WI- Coming into Saturday's match, the Alverno College soccer team knew they faced a tall task. Hosting the University of Wisconsin Whitewater Warhawks, the Inferno's defense held as long as it could.
Unfortunately on Saturday, Whitewater would take the match by a final score of 12-0.
The play was primarily controlled by Whitewater, as they fired 57 shots, 22 of which were saved by
Hannah Wester (Clintonville,WI) in net for the Inferno.
The day did not damper the outstanding week for Alverno Soccer however, as on Wednesday they secured their first victory since September of 2021.
The Alverno side will now have a week until their next contest, when they again take the home pitch on a Saturday. On October 3rd they will host Great Lakes Christian, in a match scheduled to begin at 3 pm.
