2026-27 Alverno Basketball Schedule
MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Alverno College basketball team has revealed its 2026-27 schedule as the Inferno return to competition for the first time since the 2024-25 season and begin their inaugural campaign as members of the Coast-to-Coast Conference (C2C). Head coach
Joshua Steffen takes the reins of the program and will look to build success in the C2C for the second time after leading Mount Mary to 12-12 and 10-14 records in the conference during its final two seasons as a member.
The Inferno travel to Beloit and Lakeland for scrimmages on Oct. 27 and Oct. 30, respectively, before opening the regular season at home.
Alverno's season opener is set for Wednesday, Nov. 11, in Reiman Gymnasium as the Inferno host Knox to begin the 2026-27 campaign. They then travel to Lake Forest on Saturday, Nov. 14, before heading to Andrews on Wednesday, Nov. 18. The Inferno return home the following day, Thursday, Nov. 19, to take on Maranatha Baptist in a non-conference matchup. Before Thanksgiving, Alverno travels to Aurora on Saturday, Nov. 21, to face a former conference opponent before wrapping up the pre-holiday slate at Monmouth on Tuesday, Nov. 24.
December begins at home as the Inferno host NAIA opponent Judson on Wednesday, Dec. 2. They then embark on a three-game road trip, visiting Wisconsin-Eau Claire on Wednesday, Dec. 9, North Central (Minn.) on Monday, Dec. 14, and North Park on Friday, Dec. 18. Alverno closes the 2026 calendar year at home, hosting Central College on Saturday, Dec. 19.
The new year begins in Reiman Gymnasium as the Inferno host Rockford on Saturday, Jan. 2, and Mount Mary on Sunday, Jan. 3, during Alumni Weekend. They continue the homestand on Wednesday, Jan. 6, against Augustana College before heading on the road for a weekend set at Greenville on Saturday, Jan. 9, and Eureka on Sunday, Jan. 10. After a 10-day break, Alverno returns home for a Wednesday night matchup against Edgewood on Jan. 20 before hosting North Central (Minn.) on Wednesday, Jan. 27. January concludes with a road contest at Concordia Chicago on Jan. 29.
On Wednesday, Feb. 3, Alverno wraps up its road schedule with a matchup at Blackburn before closing the regular season with three home games. St. Mary's (Ind.) visits Milwaukee on Saturday, Feb. 6, followed by Eureka on Monday, Feb. 8. The regular season concludes on Saturday, Feb. 13, as the Inferno host Illinois Tech.
The C2C Basketball Championships are scheduled to be hosted by UC Santa Cruz beginning Thursday, Feb. 25, with the championship game set for Saturday, Feb. 27. The top six teams will qualify for the conference tournament based on NPI.
