Alverno College

Milwaukee,WI- The Alverno Volleyball team headed into Saturday's home match against Kuyper College looking to secure their third win in four matches, and win their fifth match of the season, equaling the most victories since the 2022 season.

They did both in dominant fashion, sweeping Kuyper in a decisive win by scores of 25-9, 25-16, and 25-14.

Every member of the Alverno squad seemed to contribute in a positive way, paced by Carley Juneau (Milwaukee, WI) who recorded 21 assists, 4 kills and 3 aces.  Mary Needham (San Tan Valley, AZ) had 11 kills, 6 digs and 2 aces, while Brooklyn Harris (Tolleson, AZ) would lead Alverno with 8 digs on the day.  Gwen Kalafut (Columbus,WI) would add 6 digs from the Libero spot.

Alverno will look to continue the momentum at home on Tuesday, October 20th, at 7 pm.  The Inferno will host Rockford, who they clashed with on October 6th.  The Regents won that match, and the Inferno will look to even the season series and secure their 6th victory of 2026.  A sixth win on the season would equal the most victories for an Alverno Volleyball team since 2017.
