BELTON, Tex. - Freshman outside hitter Mary Needham (San Tan Valley, Ariz./Poston Butte) earned UMHB Tournament All-Tournament honors after the rookie had a fantastic weekend for the Alverno volleyball team.

In the team's four games, Needham was the leading attacker for the Inferno, leading the team with 31 kills and 33.5 points. The 5-10 outside also added eight digs and a service ace over the weekend. Her best outing came in the final game of the tournament against Hardin-Simmons, when she tallied 13 kills, three block assists, and three digs, totaling 14.5 points. 

The Alverno volleyball team is currently 1-8 and is next in action on Thursday, Sept. 18, when they travel to Maranatha Baptist for a road non-conference matchup.
