PLYMOUTH, Wis. – Giselle Moreno hit her third home run of the season as the Alverno softball team resumed Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play on Saturday afternoon. The host Muskies won the opener by a 9-2 score and took the second game, 18-0.

Moreno's home run came in the opening game of a doubleheader in the top of the sixth inning.
Alyssa Hubli had a two-out single ahead of Moreno and scored the first Inferno run of the day.

In the circle of the opener,
Bailey Gardner went the distance and got 13 fly ball outs and five ground ball outs.

Dominique Tetrault had a double in the opener, while
Emily Anguiano drew a walk.

In game two, the Inferno got three hits including a double by Moreno, and singles by both
Hailie Eschbach and Hubli.

Eschbach got the start in the circle in game two, with Tetrault recording all 12 outs for Alverno, including one strikeout.

Alverno resumes conference play on Sunday at Concordia Chicago in River Forest, Illinois. Game one will begin at 12:00 p.m.
