DE PERE, Wis. – Four players had multi-hit days as the Alverno softball team fell in a NACC doubleheader at St. Norbert on Saturday afternoon, 8-0 in the opener and 11-3 in game two.

Hailie Eschbach,
Emily Anguiano, and
Jaycee Reyes had a hit in each game, while
Samantha Vinti had two hits, including a double and a walk in game two.

Bailey Gardner started off the opener well with two scoreless innings but allowed the first Green Knight run in the third and another seven runs in the fourth as St. Norbert took the opener.

In game two, the Green Knights scored twice in the opening inning off Gardner and added six more in the second inning.

The Inferno scored once on a base hit by
Alexis Wheeler in the top of the fifth inning, before scoring two more runs in the sixth on an error and a wild pitch.

Alverno will return home for an extended stay on the Alverno Softball Field this week. The stretch of 10 straight at home will begin on Apr. 21 against Benedictine beginning at 3:00 p.m.
