MILWAUKEE, Wis. - The Alverno softball team closed out the 2024 season on Saturday hosting Rockford University at the Alverno Softball Field where they celebrated the inaugural Mexican Heritage Day. Before the game, the opening statements were read in Spanish and English followed by the Mexican National Anthem and honored America by playing the National Anthem. The Regents won the opener by a 9-4 score, and the second game by an 8-0 margin.

Giselle Moreno and Dominique Tetrault both were 1-for-3.
Andrea Ramirez was 1-for-2 and
Laura Heim was 1-for-1.
Offensively in the second game, senior
Lexi Hess added a double.

Michelle Hess and
Nevaeh Cruz tossed the complete game as they yielded just eight runs and struck out five batters over seven innings of work.
Maggie Wilmot and
Michelle Hess in seven innings had 83 pitches and struck out two batters while allowing nine runs through the outing.
Alverno finished the 2024 season 5-29 overall and 2-22 in the NACC. We would like to thank everyone for their support this season and look forward to next season!
