PLYMOUTH, Wis. – The Alverno women's basketball team fell 100- 52 to Lakeland University this afternoon inside Woltzen Gymnasium.
The Inferno was led by
Shiauna Nixon-Boyd who finished with her first double-double performance of the season with 22 points and 11 rebounds and two steals.
Gemini Ventura contributed 13 points and three rebounds.
Riley Spencer and
Kyla Jamerson added a combined 15 points respectively.
Alverno finished the contest shooting 33.3% (18-of-54) from the floor. The team had a good game at the free throw line shooting 72.2% (13-of-18).
The team finished the contest with 38 rebounds and forced 16 turnovers. The Inferno capitalized on two points off of turnovers.
Alverno returns to action by competing in the Puerto Rico College Sports Tours Classic on December 17-20
th. The Inferno will face CalTech on Tuesday, December 17
th. Tipoff is slated for 2:00 p.m. (CST).
