SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO – The Alverno women's basketball team fell 74- 45 to CalTech this afternoon in its opening round of the Puerto Rico College Sports Tours Classic.
The Inferno was led by
Shiauna Nixon-Boyd and
Arlaysia Braggs who finished with 11 points each respectively.
Jasmine James contributed nine points and seven rebounds.
Riley Spencer and
Kyla Jamerson added a combined 12 points respectively.
Alverno finished the contest shooting 31.5% (17-of-54) from the floor. The team had a good game at the free throw line shooting 66.7% (10-of-15).
The team finished the contest with 33 rebounds and forced 23 turnovers. The Inferno capitalized on two points off of turnovers.
The Inferno will face Stevenson on Wednesday, December 18
th. Tipoff is slated for 4:00 p.m. (CST).
