MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Alverno Tennis team returned to action on Wednesday evening, hosting the Lakeland Muskies at McKinley Park Tennis Courts. Lakeland won the match by a 6-0 score despite some strong efforts put forth by the Inferno.
 
Alverno scored points in two of the team's doubles matches, falling 6-3 and 6-1 respectively. Morgan Golabowski and Riley Spencer tallied three wins in the top flight, while Ivonna Gentry and Lilly Coronado battled to one win in the second match.
 
Golabowski had the most success in singles play yielding a 7-5, 6-3 decision. Lakeland University then cruised to the remaining singles spot.
 
 
Alverno (0-6, 0-6 NACC) will travel to play a pair of contests on Saturday, beginning with Concordia Chicago Lutheran at 10 a.m., followed by Edgewood.
