MILWAUKEE – The Alverno soccer team played its first road conference contest of the season, visiting Viets Field in downtown Milwaukee, and falling to the host MSOE Raiders by a 19-goal margin.

Alverno was led by freshman netminder
Emily Anguiano, who notched 15 saves in the effort to bring their five-game season total to 70.

Janae Bowie made her collegiate debut and played 77 minutes off the bench. Seniors
Alo Cervantes and
Ashley Flores, along with freshmen
Monce Cervantes,
Lilly Coronado,
Ashley Gutierrez-Diaz, and
Ashley Ibarra all played the entirety of the contest.

Alverno (0-4-1, 0-2-0 NACC) will next travel to Illinois Tech on Wednesday evening, for a 7 p.m. start against the Scarlet Hawks in Chicago.
