DE PERE, Wis. – The Alverno basketball team paid a visit to the Mulva Sports Center to take on the St. Norbert Green Knights for their first-ever meeting as conference foes, falling to their hosts by a score of 102-41.

Despite the loss, this was Alverno's best shooting night since the team's home matchup against Illinois Tech several weeks ago as the Inferno shot 32.1% from the field, including more than 39% in the first half.

The scoring attack was led by junior
Angie Reutgen with eight points, while sophomore
Courtney Zarda and freshmen
Morgan Golabowski and
Jewel Zahradka each had seven points apiece. Freshman
Lauryn Hilliard had six points, in the effort, while senior
Dom Hudson added six and sophomore
Kiara Ellison added a bucket for the Inferno.

Zahradka led the Inferno with six rebounds, while Hudson led the squad with four assists. Golabowski and Zahradka each had one steal to lead the effort for the Inferno defense.

Alverno (1-16, 0-10 NACC) will continue its busiest week of the season with a road make-up game against Illinois Tech at 7 p.m. on Thursday evening at the Keating Sports Center.
