McMath Caps Career by Setting Single-Season Ace Record in Season Finale

MADISON, Wis. – The Alverno volleyball season came to a close on Wednesday evening, as the Inferno dropped a three-set match to the Edgewood Eagles at the Todd Wehr Edgedome. Sophomore Rolin West led the Inferno with eight kills on the match to give her 320 for the season, falling just 15 shy of tying the program's single-season mark of 335 set back in 2004. Also collecting seven kills was freshman Natalie Onozie, who added a pair of assists and five digs to go along with her pair of blocks on the match. Classmate Breann Flannery led Alverno with a dozen digs to give the freshman 313 digs on the season, good enough for ninth on the single-season digs list.

Junior Selena Upshur led the Inferno with three blocks to give her 49 on the season, placing her seventh on the single-season list, to go along with one kill and a pair of digs. Freshman Lynnica Harley rounded out Alverno's offense with one kill and chipped in with a block. Sophomore Izzy Gianniou had six assists and five digs. Freshman Sharisty Kooch had Alverno's first service ace on the match of the team's seven, as classmate Jalea Taylor rounded out the lineup with all three sets for the Inferno.
