Kenzie Bermudez held the clean sheet through the first 45 minutes of play as she made 11 stops on 11 shots on goal taken by Edgewood. Bermudez ended the afternoon with 16 saves as she tied her season high. Freshman
Kiersten Weber played the final 22:37 in goal and made two saves while allowing the final two Edgewood goals.
Â
Alverno's offense was able to put together an eight-shot effort, with just one of those on frame by freshman
Sofia McLaughlin. Junior

Angela Chobanian and sophomore
Alo Cervantes each had one shot on the afternoon.
Â

Â
In the second half, Edgewood tallied another 26 shots to end the match with 52, however just over half were on target, as Alverno made 20 combined saves on 27 shots on goal. The Inferno defensively was credited with two saves as Bermudez and Weber combined for 18.
Â
The Eagles got on the board with back-to-back strikes in the 48th minute before adding a third in the 55th and another goal in the 56th minute. Edgewood's final three goals came in the 59th, the 83rd and the 89th minute of the contest to cap the scoring at seven.
Â
Alverno finished the shortened season with an 0-8-0 record, both overall and in the NACC North Division. The league intends to eliminate divisional play and return to a true single round robin format with all 14 members of the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference, which will include league newcomer St. Norbert beginning this fall.
