MILWAUKEE – Due to the forecasted weather conditions later in the afternoon and into the evening hours on Saturday, January 11, the Alverno basketball game at Lakeland University will be pushed an hour earlier to a 1 p.m. start.
Â
The originally scheduled matchup was to take place at 2 p.m. at the Woltzen Gymnasium in Plymouth, however, due to the forecasted 8-12 inches in the Plymouth area and the 6-10 inches forecasted in Milwaukee in the afternoon and evening hours it was in the best interest in both teams, officials, and spectators to end the game earlier to travel safely home.
Â
Following Saturday's game on the road against the Muskies, Alverno returns home on Tuesday evening for a 7 p.m. start against the Edgewood Eagles. The matchup against the Eagles will kick off the longest home stand of the season and spurs a stretch of five out of six inside of Reiman Gymnasium for the Inferno.
