Box Score MILWAUKEE -- After back-to-back wins and 80-point performances, the Alverno College offense was stifled in a 77-49 loss at Wisconsin Lutheran College Saturday afternoon.
Brooke McBain finally got the Inferno (8-9, 5-7 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference) on the board with a 3-pointer, but the damage had already been done as the host Warriors (12-5, 10-2 NACC) led 21-3 after the visitors missed their first 14 shots of the contest.
McBain was the only Alverno player to reach double-figures with a team-high 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting, while Mollie Mikyska pulled down a team-best eight rebounds.
Defending NACC champion Wisconsin Lutheran made 55 percent of its field goals compared to the Inferno's 34 percent accuracy, and made 14 free throws while Alverno made just four.
Another road game is up next for the Inferno as the team travels to Aurora University for a Wednesday 7 p.m. tipoff.
