Alverno led by 11 points midway through the first half, but a 17-6 run by the Eagles closed out the half to even the game at 31-31 as the Inferno made just a pair of field goals and two free throws in the final 7 minutes of the opening period.
Chelsey Watkins led five Edgewood players in double-figures with 17 points on 4-of-13 shooting, but made 7-of-10 free-throw attempts. She also led all rebounders with 11 boards.
