Freshman Seneca Peterson put together a strong start for her collegiate career as both a hitter and pitcher.

At the plate during her first eight career games she hit .348 with eight hits in 23 at bats while driving in one rn and scoring another. On the base paths she also went 1-for-1 in stolen base attempts.

In the circle, Peterson dominated opponents as she racked up two wins with a 0.83 earned run average and a 1.20 WHIP. During her 25 1/3 innings in the circle, she struck out 34 batters while allowing just 11 walks and three earned runs, while holding opponents to a .192 batting average against.
