Senior Mackenzie Mathies of the Alverno basketball team tallied a 23 points in Alverno's season opener on November 15.

With her 23 points on Thursday, Mathies became just the ninth player in program history to record 800 career points and moved from ninth to seventh on Alverno's all-time scoring list. Mathies also added a team-best eight rebounds, while contributing with two steals and one block.
