Jimenez Paces Inferno At Home Meet

CUDAHY, Wis. -- Alverno College hosted its first and only home meet of the season, the Wisconsin Private Colleges Championships, Saturday at Sheridan Park.

The Inferno placed 13th of 15 teams with a team score of 387. Edgewood College won the team championship with a score of 46 with the top three runners, which included Natasha Zanoya's time of 22 minutes, 44.4 seconds which took the individual title in the field of over 125 runners.

Carina Jimenez paced Alverno with a time of 31:35.1, followed by Amy Naborowski (32:44.6), Kailey Huba (32:51.0) and Emily Ogas (39:18.7). Naborowski set a new personal record by over 20 seconds on her home course.

The Inferno has next week off as the team prepares for the final meet of the season -- the 2015 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championships -- Saturday, October 31 at Concordia University Wisconsin.
