Alverno Races At Sabercats Invitational

WATERTOWN, Wis. -- The Alverno College cross country team competed in its third event of the season at the Sabercats Invitational Saturday morning.

The Inferno placed fourth of four teams with a score of 100. Moody Bible Institute won the women's event with 29 points, Mount Mary University was second with 47, while host Maranatha Baptist University was third with 58.

Moody's Katie Morris won the 6K race with a time of 24 minutes, 34.8 seconds.

Kailey Huba paced Alverno with a time of 30:48.2 which earned her a 16th-place finish.

Amanda Moehle ran a 31:45.2, Carina Jimenez a 32:19.2, Amy Naborowski at 38:52.3 and Kayla Soliday at 39:58.5 to round out the team's times.

Next up for the Inferno runners is the Warrior Invite hosted by Wisconsin Lutheran College next Saturday at Greenfield Park.
