Former Division I volleyball player Taylor Zaeske returns to the Alverno volleyball staff for her second season in the fall of 2019.
In her first season as an assistant with the Inferno, Zaeske helped the team to four wins with one victory coming in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play. During the season, senior Cailey Jeske '19 earned All-Tournament recognition at both the MSOE Invitational in early September, while also earning All-Tournament accolades at the Macalester Tournament in mid-September.
Joining Alverno from Louisiana-Monroe, where she was a member of the team for three seasons. During her time with the Warhawks, she amassed 458 kills and added 429 digs in 58 career matches During her junior season she tallied 283 kills and had a career-high 29 service aces, while also adding 26 blocks and 321 digs.
Before heading south to play for Louisiana-Monroe, Zaeske spent her freshman season playing for Division II Caldwell University in New Jersey. She played in 31 matches as a rookie with 29 starts and led the team with 388 kills with 26 aces, 28 blocks and ended the year third on the team with 188 digs.
Originally from Milwaukee, Zaeske also brings a strong coaching background to go along with her playing pedigree, having coached the Wisconsin Junior 16-1s as an assistant coach. She also has experience as a rehabilitation technician following her graduation in 2017.
Zaeske earned her degree in in Health Studies Pre-Professional from Louisiana-Monroe in May of 2017.
