Inferno Ends Season With Loss To Stars

MILWAUKEE -- Alverno College ended its season with a 3-0 loss to visiting Dominican University Saturday afternoon inside Reiman Gymnasium.

The Stars (10-17, 8-3 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference) -- who recorded 13 service aces and a .284 attack percentage -- won by scores of 25-10, 25-15 and 25-11.

The host Inferno managed 19 kills in the three-setter led by Jessica Wewers seven and team-high .353 attack percentage.

Alyssa Reinke led the hosts with 14 digs and Sam Korn had 13 assists.

Senior Danielle Schilawski recorded a pair of service aces to end her career with 104, the second most in program history. The Oconto, Wisconsin, native finished as the school's all-time digs leader, with 1,172 in her four-year career.

Alverno concludes the 2016 campaign with a 3-25 overall record (1-10 NACC).
