WHITEWATER, Wis. – The Alverno tennis team got back to non-conference action on Sunday afternoon, taking on the University of Wisconsin at River Falls in a tilt on the campus of UW-Whitewater. The Falcons took the match by the final score of 9-0.
Doubles competition saw a minor shakeup from Alverno's last match against Lakeland on Wednesday as senior Michelle Alexander joined up with freshman Kalei Hanna, which the pair fell to the top doubles pairing of UW-River Falls by an 8-1 score.
In the second and third doubles matches, it was the Falcons to come away with identical 8-0 victories as Merub Irfan and Monse Sanchez-Gutierrez fell in the second doubles, while Sierra Hunstable and Anna Nikolich dropped the third doubles pairing.
