MILWAUKEE – The 2018 Alverno tennis schedule has been released for the upcoming fall 2018 campaign with the match schedule featuring 16 duals for the fall season.
Last year's squad ended the year with four wins overall including three in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference competition.
The season begins bright and early at 9 a.m., when the Inferno visits North Park on Saturday, September 1 at North Park. Later that day the Inferno will meet Wisconsin Lutheran in a non-conference tilt at approximately 12:30 p.m.
Following the trip to Chicago; Alverno will head back on the road for the conference opener as the team will travel to Sheboygan, Wisconsin for a league matchup at 4 p.m. against Lakeland. On Saturday, September 15 the team will have a pair of head-to-head matchups in two cities as the Inferno head to Edgewood in Madison, followed by a trip back to Milwaukee for a road contest at MSOE.
Non-conference play resumes a week later at Lawrence University, beginning with a matchup with UW-Stevens Point followed by a dual with host Lawrence later in the afternoon
The Inferno will open its home schedule on Tuesday, September 25 with Wisconsin Lutheran coming across the city for a 4 p.m. start. A few days later on the 29th, the Inferno will host a conference tri-meet with Marian at 10 a.m., followed by a bout with Concordia Wisconsin later in the day.
The month of September concludes with a tri-meet at Beloit with host Beloit at 10 a.m., followed by Lake Forest at 1:30 p.m.
In October the team will visit a pair of conference opponents on Saturday, October 6 as the Inferno will travel to Concordia Chicago at 10 a.m., then travel to Dominican for a match with the Stars at 2 p.m.
The regular season will come to a close at home, when Alverno hosts Aurora at 10 a.m., followed by league newcomer Illinois Tech at 2 p.m. as part of a conference tri-meet.
