Inferno Suffer Setback at Concordia Chicago

RIVER FOREST, ILL--The Alverno College soccer team fell to NACC foe Concordia Chicago by a final score of 5-0.

Concordia Chicago started their scoring in the 10th minute off a ball that was unable to be cleared in the penalty area. In the 15th minute, the Cougars struck again from a crossed ball into the box that found the back of a net. Concordia Chicago tallied two more goals heading into halftime. A second half goal off the foot of Concordia Chicago proved to be the deciding blow as the Inferno were unable to counter in the final minutes.

Defensively, Allison Weick finished the match with 15 saves in goal for the Inferno.

The Inferno are back in action for the final match of September as they face MSOE on Saturday, Sept. 30 at 2:30 p.m.
