The 2017-18 Alverno College golf team continues to develop as the program moves forward, now in its fifth season.

The Inferno's new head coach, Dan Dresen, inherits a squad of four returners and looks to advance the team's progress, coming off an eighth-place finish at last year's Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championship.

Juniors Alaina Chenow and Mackenzie Mathies enter 2017 with two years each on the links, while sophomores Simone Jackson and Hannah Kelsey return after successful rookie campaigns.

"One of the things we really want to focus on is teaching and educating them on the knowledge of the game and pushing them to be better each time they step out on the course," said Dresen.

The Alverno golf team begins play Saturday, September 2 in a home dual versus Mount Mary University at Greenfield Park Golf Course. Four additional events follow before the NACC Championship September 30-October 1 closes out the fall campaign.
