WEST ALLIS, Wisconsin -- Katelyn Bartlett carded her career-best round to lead Alverno College at the team's own Inferno Classic at Greenfield Park Golf Course Friday afternoon.
Bartlett shaved three strokes off her previous career low for today's 108 (54-54). The South Milwaukee native pared the fifth and 18th holes, both par-4s.
Lakeland University won the meet with a team score of 386, 15 strokes better than runner-up Carthage College (401). Concordia University Wisconsin was third with a 432, Wisconsin Lutheran College fourth with a 445 and host Alverno was fifth with a season-low round of 496.
WLC's Ellyn Mortell earned medalist honors with a 23-over-par 92.
Next up is the two-day Marian University Invitational at Whispering Springs in Fond du Lac. Saturday's tee times begin at 12:15 p.m., while Sunday's at 9:15 a.m.
