Nancy Osborne joined the Alverno staff as an assistant basketball coach in the fall of 2015 and an assistant cross country coach in the fall of 2016.
The Inferno basketball team secured a winning season for the third time in the last five years in 2015-16, with a 14-11 overall record and 11-9 in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference.
In 2016-17, Alverno reached the NACC semifinal round and tied for the fourth-most wins in program history with a 13-14 record. The squad finished sixth in the NACC with a 12-8 record in league play and upset third-seeded Benedictine University in the NACC Tournament first round.
Prior to beginning her coaching career, the North Canton, Ohio native was a four-year member of the women's basketball team at the University of Mount Union. Osborne played in 81 career games and started in 51 for the Raiders. Her senior season she started all 26 games and was the team's third-leading scorer with 7.7 points per game. The Raiders captured the Ohio Athletic Conference championship and advanced to the third round of the NCAA III Championship her freshman season.
She received her bachelor's degree in exercise science from Mount Union and is currently working on her master's degree at Alverno.
