MILWAUKEE – Recent Alverno College alumna Kendra Patterson '19 has signed to play with the Milwaukee Aces of the Women's Basketball Development Association.
Patterson finished her collegiate career with the Inferno this past winter after transferring to Alverno as a junior prior to the 2017-18 season following one-year stints at both Morthland College and St. Catharine.
The Kentucky native played in 42 career games in her two-year span with the Inferno with starts in 22 contests, including 19 coming as a senior this past winter. Averaging 26 minutes a game over her two years, Patterson averaged 8.5 points per game while shooting 34.4% from the field.
Playing forward for the Inferno she averaged 5.9 rebounds per game as a senior, bringing her two-year Alverno average up to 4.8 rebounds per game. She had 203 career rebounds and 64 assists to go along with 29 steals in her 1,094 minutes on the court in an Alverno uniform.
Patterson is just one of two NCAA Division III student-athletes to comprise the Aces' roster. The remaining nine roster spots of the team are made up of NCAA Division I and Division II student-athletes.
The Milwaukee Aces play in the Women's Basketball Development Association, which spans the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The league features 32 teams, with 17 in the Eastern Conference, with the remaining 15, including the Aces, playing in the Western Conference.
The team's play 10 games from the beginning of May through the end of July before potentially qualifying for postseason play. Thus far on the young season, the Aces are 2-1 overall including back-to-back wins heading into the team's next game on June 1, when the Aces travel to Toledo, Ohio. The Aces' next home game is on Saturday, June 8 at 3 p.m., when the Aces host the TC Queen Elite out of the Twin Cities (Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota) at Mount Mary University.
