Inferno Split in NACC Action

MADISON, WIS.--Alverno College softball (12-12, 4-6 NACC) split in doubleheader action to NACC foe Edgewood by scores of 2-0 and 6-1. Senior Olivia Schneider pitched 13 total innings only allowing three runs off nine hits. Three Inferno players tallied three hits as Alverno College took game two 6-1.

How the Inferno scored

  • 1st Inning: A groundout allowed Sam Korn to score, starting the Inferno scoring.
  • 2nd Inning: A sac fly from Mary Kate Sulikowski was deep enough to score Andie Vandertie, giving the Inferno the 2-0 advantage. 
  • 5th Inning: Ashlie Rossi singled to right center which allowed Sam Korn to score.
  • 7th Inning: A single to left field from Dani Hood saw Ashlie Rossi cross the plate.
  • 7th Inning: Following a fielder's choice, an Eagle throwing error gave the Inferno a 6-1 lead.

 

Due Up

  • Alverno College returns to the diamond Thursday, April 12 for a non-conference doubleheader against Carroll University. First pitch from Waukesha, Wis. is set to start at 3 p.m.
