MILWAUKEE -- Stephanie Wilmore of Elkhart Central High School (Ind.) has informed Alverno College of her intentions to attend the school in the fall and play softball for the Inferno.
Wilmore is a four-year starter on varsity for the Blue Blazers playing both the catcher and shortstop positions. The senior right-hander is hitting .340 with nine doubles and a homerun this season.
Alverno, a member of the Northern Athletics Conference (NAC) and NCAA Division III, finished the 2009 season with a 7-23 overall record, 5-19 in the NAC. The Inferno won three of their last six games to end the 2009 campaign.
Wilmore, who plans to study elementary education at Alverno, is a three-sport varsity athlete at Central also lettering in swimming and volleyball.
