MADISON, Wis. -- The Alverno soccer team dropped a Northern Athletics Conference game to host Edgewood, 6-0, at Breese Stevens Field on Saturday.
The loss drops the Inferno to 5-12 overall and 1-8 in conference play, while the Eagles improve to 10-4-1, 7-2-1.
The Eagles led 3-0 at halftime and doubled the score in the second period for the 6-0 final.
Unable to get off a shot, the Inferno were on the wrong side of a 22-0 shots on goal advantage.
Inferno goalkeeper Samantha Robinson (Pleasant Prairie, Wis./Tremper) recorded 16 saves in the loss.
Alverno looks to bounce back from its three-game road skid this Tuesday in a NAC game versus visiting Rockford. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
