Inferno Softball
Alverno (10-24, 3-15 NACC) is coming off its busiest week since its spring trip as the squad competed in 10 games last week.

The Inferno looks to snap its current skid as it closes out the season with a pair of conference doubleheaders this weekend. Edgewood will visit Milwaukee Friday -- also Alverno Senior Day -- while Rockford will play host to the Inferno Saturday.

The Eagles (4-30, 1-17) have lost their last four and nine out of their last 10. Edgewood earned a split with Maranatha Baptist University Friday before getting swept by both Concordia University Wisconsin and Milwaukee School of Engineering Saturday and Sunday.

Alverno has won seven of the last 12 meetings and trails the Eagles 7-21 in the all-time series. The Inferno swept the series last season with 6-2 and 8-1 victories.

The Regents (6-28, 1-17) have also lost four straight and eight of their last 10. Rockford swept Maranatha in nonconference play Tuesday before a pair of sweeps by MSOE and CUW on the weekend.

Alverno has won six of the last eight versus the Regents and trails the all-time series 12-17.

Live broadcasts will be available for Friday's home games while Rockford will provide live stats Saturday. Links to the coverage are available on

Inferno Tennis
Alverno (11-11) is still looking for its first win of the spring after a six-game win streak capped off the fall.

The Inferno will host North Park and Beloit Sunday for the final games of the regular season before the NACC Tournament begins May 2.

The Vikings (5-13) have won their last two contests including a 7-2 win over Beloit (0-18) Sunday. North Park is 3-2 this spring while the Bucs are 0-4.

Alverno is 0-2 versus the Vikings and 4-0 against Beloit all-time.
