After ending the fall portion of its schedule with six straight victories, Alverno (11-9) has opened the spring on a three-game skid. The Inferno will look to snap that streak Saturday up in Stevens Point as the team takes on Wartburg and the host Pointers.
The Knights (5-11) are just 1-6 this spring and recently lost to UW-Oshkosh, 7-2, while UWSP (4-10) is 0-2 in its only spring matches thus far.
Wartburg is a first-time opponent for Alverno while the Pointers have won the only previous meeting, 6-3, last season.
