The Inferno softball and tennis teams are both in action, this week in Alverno College Athletics.

Alverno went 2-6 as it hosted four doubleheaders last week to put its record at 6-12, 0-4 in Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference play.
The Inferno will look to snap its current six-game skid at Beloit on Tuesday in nonconference action.
The Buccaneers (3-17) split with Lawrence University Sunday which stopped a six-game losing streak. The Bucs have faced three opponents from the NACC and have gone 1-4 against them.
Beloit has won the last five versus Alverno and holds the lead in the all-time series 8-1.
Back to conference play for the weekend, CUW (13-5, 2-0 NACC) visits Alverno Field Saturday. The Falcons have won five straight, including a sweep of Lakeland University Sunday with a pair of walk-off wins.
Concordia Wisconsin has won 16 consecutive versus the Inferno and leads 26-3 all-time.
A visit to WLC (5-9, 2-0) Sunday closes out the week for Alverno. The Warriors are coming off a sweep of Edgewood College Sunday with two lopsided -- 9-1 and 10-1 -- victories.
Alverno has won three of the last four versus Wisconsin Lutheran including a split last season, but the Warriors lead 21-9 all-time.

Alverno had a tough opening to the spring schedule with a pair of losses against St. Norbert College and Saint Mary's University of Minnesota last Sunday.
The Inferno (11-8) takes on Dubuque in a neutral-site contest Saturday up at Concordia Wisconsin's home court.
The Spartans went 7-4 in the fall and Saturday's dual will open the spring portion of their schedule.
Dubuque has won both prior meetings with Alverno, the most recent, 8-1, in fall of 2013.
