The Inferno basketball team has a single home game to close out play before Christmas, this week in Alverno College Athletics.

Inferno Basketball
Alverno split a pair of Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference contests last week to get to 2-2 in league play (2-6 overall).

The Inferno looks to go above .500 in the conference standings heading into the holiday break with a tough matchup against Benedictine this Saturday inside Reiman Gymnasium.

The Eagles have won five straight games and started off their NACC schedule 4-0 (8-1 overall). Benedictine recently routed Edgewood College, 96-43, Saturday at home while the lone loss on the season came at the hands of North Central College, 97-89, in nonconference action.

The Eagles lead the all-time series against the Inferno, 18-3, yet Alverno's 53-49 win last February snapped Benedictine's eight-game win streak.

A live broadcast and live stats will be available on athletics.alverno.edu for those unable to attend the home contest.
