The Inferno basketball team returns to Reiman Gymnasium Wednesday after a two-game road stint and then hits the road again Saturday, this week in Alverno College Athletics.
Wednesday, Dec. 7
- 7 p.m., Basketball vs. Dominican University
Saturday, Dec. 10
- 2 p.m., Basketball at Lakeland University
Alverno, which has posted its best field-goal percentages of the season in back-to-back games, looks to snap a two-game skid after suffering a tough Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference overtime loss Saturday.
The Inferno (1-5, 1-1 NACC) hosts Dominican Wednesday and then travels to Lakeland Saturday.
The visiting Stars (1-4, 0-1) have lost four straight after opening the season with a 70-58 win versus Kalamazoo College. Most recently, Dominican lost at Concordia University Wisconsin, 53-29, Saturday.
The Muskies (4-4, 2-1) have won three of the last four including their last two after a recent 68-59 victory over Aurora University Saturday. Lakeland plays at Concordia Wisconsin Wednesday before Saturday's contest with the Inferno.
Alverno trails the all-time series against the Stars, 11-12, but has won the last seven meetings. The Muskies lead the series 16-7 despite the Inferno winning five of the last seven meetings including a 65-62 win last February.
Both contests will have a live video broadcast and live stats, with links available on athletics.alverno.edu.
