Alverno (5-4, 1-3 Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference) has dropped three straight games to conference foes. The Inferno looks to snap the skid with a pair of home games this week as the team hosts Dominican Wednesday and Marian Sunday.
The Stars (6-4, 2-2 NACC) have won two straight and four of their last five while the Sabres (2-7, 0-3) have lost seven consecutive games, including a 2-1 overtime result to Dominican Saturday.
Alverno is still seeking its first win versus both of this week's opponents, trailing 0-12 and 0-13 all-time.
Live video and live stats will be available for both games with links available on athletics.alverno.edu.
Alverno (8-6, 4-2 NACC) won all three of its contests last week and can clinch a third consecutive trip to the NACC Women's Tennis Tournament with a win on Thursday against Wisconsin Lutheran. A pair of NACC road matches at Aurora and Dominican then close out the fall portion of the 2016-17 season.
The Warriors (4-5, 2-3) have won two of their past three and host Marian Tuesday before facing the Inferno Thursday night.
The Spartans (4-5, 4-4) are winners of four of their last five while the Stars (3-8, 2-5) have won two of four.
Alverno trails all three all-time series, 3-4 to WLC, 2-7 to AU and 1-6 to Dominican.
Alverno (3-18, 1-4 NACC) lost two NACC matches last week, but took a set off the defending NACC Champion Edgewood, Friday night for the first time since the 2008 season.
The Inferno takes a brief break from league play for its final nonconference match of the season Tuesday at Maranatha, before a NACC contests versus visiting Concordia Chicago Saturday.
The Sabercats (12-4) have won seven straight matches including a 3-1 win at Marian Saturday.
The Cougars (2-16, 1-3) have lost seven consecutive, their last win a 3-1 result at Rockford on Sept. 21.
Alverno trails in both all-time series, 0-19 to Maranatha and 1-16 to CUC.
